intelligent transportation system의 기술들은 일방적이며 제한적으로automobile과 air transportation에 적용되어 왔다. automobile 과transportation의 주어진 power system에 대한 기본 조직에 대한 연구가 지난 세기 동안에 이루어져 왔다. 지금은 몇 개의 smart device가 개발되어 현대 교통시스템에 적용되어져 왔으며, 운전자와 승객들에게 안전과 효율적인 운전을 돕는 smart device 를 탑재하는 것 만으로의 포화상태에 있다.

본 연구에서는 (1) intelligent road와 network를 사용하여 transportation 내부에서의intelligent system과 information requirement에 대한 부담을 줄이며 (2) 자율적인 power 와control function을 갖는 새로운 transportation system을 내장하는 mid-air transportation infrastructure 를 제안한다.
